Mon to Fri work from 0930 - 2000hr

Sat and Sun work at Bumblebee.

(Tuition on Wed's night and Sun's morning)



The reality of working in a childcare is so much difference as compared to what i have in mind and what i learned in textbooks.

There are many times i left lost, i seek advices and let them pass.

Nonetheless, they still come back to me.


Working in childcare puts me in dilemma

" Daphne, you've lost yourself" , "I know i shouldnt do this, but..." , "You ought to control yourself" ......

Reminders are constantly popping in and out of my mind, colleagues' actions are my reflections, and now, my children are intimating me.


I gradually losing myself in this world..

Being a childcare teacher is so DIFFICULT!!!!!!!


There are really many types of families, parents and children out there.

to handle them, requires lots of experiences and knowledge.


Sometimes, i feel for the kids.

It's not their faults.

why are they the one who shoulder all the blame?

Why are they being "punished" for their parents' faults?


Kids being labelled

Kids being despise by their peers

Kids with troubled backgrounds

Kids who were brought into the world like a sheet of paper

Kids who will grow up to be like their parents



An elder once said to me, " You are their teacher, not their grandmother".

now looking forward to Standard chartered "0)

gonna try beat the timing of 4hrs of running 6km and walking 15km (lol)


celebrated Kaijun 21st birthday at pu tien

food is ok, doesnt really fit the bill of what grace teo has described.

Teacher's day celebration at Batam.

Centre brought us to shopping trip

received bad service from TCC @ Suntec.

but their rum & raisin coffee is yummy!


met shuling, gekling, lishi and jiahui on the 2nd sept to celebrate teacher's day.

been a long while since the 5 of us gather together.

used to eat sakae sushi every time we meet, this time went to N.Y.D.C instead.

their "tears to the heaven" (pasta) very nice (slurp!)

vomiting and diarrhoea...

now, 2 teachers and I are down with it..

sigh..

spent $43 on the medicine..

took leave and went home to rest.


now still suffering..

i going taiwan in less than 12 hrs...

i coming back on the 12th sept.

going for Grace teo's 21st birthday in the evening.

hopefully, it gonna be fun and exciting :0)

I excited and scared...


this will be my first attempt in 21km run


and the problem is my old knee aliment is acting out.


most probably due to the standing and squatting too often in childcare centre.



I so happy!

cos i signed up for Standard Chartered Run on 6th December.

and i going for 21km this time.

Last year ran 10km in 1hr 32 mins

The place is a huge garden

lots of flowers so colourful that u think that the rainbow has fallen from the sky

the flowers are blooming so big as if to invite the butterflies and bees to its open house

the weather is so cool and refreshing that i thought i was back in Boston

the view outside my windows reminds me of the magnificant mountain top i seen in Mount. Kinabalu

The buzz of pasar malan reminds me of the ones i seen in Miri

The steaming corn reminds me of the ones i wished i had more in Thailand (and i din managed to eat it!! ArgH!)


the vegetables are unique...

i had never seen a purple broccoli and Buddha hand

the purple broccoli only grow fruit once every three months.

That means i was lucky to see it :0)

i also tried a malaysian preserved guava and its very nice.

it's sweet and the colour of the guava is lime green

i had seen it in singapore, but NTUC sells those that come from Thailand

watched haunting in the connecticut yesterdat with swensens gang

freaky~

it managed to made me jumped, shriek, scream and worst,

i kicked the seat infront of me....(was sitting cross-legged somemore...)

super good reflexes....so embarrassing.

the guy turned around n stared..ops.

in the end, fold my arms and feet on the floor. to prevent any incidents...

past few weeks, went ubin, bukit timah, HSBC treetop walk and bedok reservoir with the usuals..

make it a weekly event, usuals?

i wanna go marina barrage, sungei buloh :0)

anyone like to accompany me for

- the ketam moutain bike park at ubin and try the various cycling tracks

- cycle around singapore using the park connector :0)

timing will be on weekends.

especially the period where the instructor ask us to lie down and do breathing exercises

After handling in the final project, went to sunset bay to eat Hong Kong cuisine with Shuling, Gek ling and Jia hui.

21st April

Went $10 family KTV at Chinatown with Liyun, wendy, cindy, jia hui, shuling and Gek ling. after that, off to eat korean cuisine. i liked the appetizers that they gave, it free-flow somemore!!

Stay at home......

paid my O-level late registration fee

flew shuling and jiamin's kite to play squash and badminton

26th April

Played badminton with gwyn, grace, amanda and kaijun.

smacked grace on her face with my racket (accidentally!)

ate supper at Mac.

celebrated shuling's birthday, but no cake

went Tampines1 maduku, ikea

Gwyn Chan aka Chan Ma li Chan 's chalet

he spent lots of money on the chalet and food.

Played pool and bowling (my pool is terrible!!!)

stay-over and face got rashes. Doc say is skin allergy -.-

30th April

played bowling, went home cos scared skin allergy again.

1st May labour day

YEP-Hue 2007 gathering, 30 people but only 5 turned up :0)

Shuling, Gekling, Yang Fang and jolene.

went toast box, La Mei Zi and MOF @ bugis

I adore the Macha Zen at MOF, pity Shuling and Gek ling dun like. they prefer the mango softtee with fried sweet potato.

2nd april

started tuition with Huan Huan (new student) at tampines, N2 kid.

lost my way....-.- in tampines somemore.

went out with gwyn and kaijun

buy present and treat Mr Chan ma li chan

bought Zinc bag and treated him Fish & Co.

we also bought a shirt for kaijun

that Mr chan super waste food!! very displease with him

he said he very very hungry from 8pm - 9.30pm (still shopping around at tampines)

then when the food come at 10plus, he lost his appetite.

we ordered grilled platter for 2 (reali not nice, think is because it we r the last table so they anyhow cooked), new york fish n chips, fried calamari (mr chan want, but he complained saying it was burnt, not nice ) , 2 junkie freeze (i din know it was that huge!), a jug of beer (mr chan want to drink).

in the end, we barely clear half of them, including the drinks too.

WAH!!!!

very very angry.

cos the meal very expensive and not nice. ArGH!

then went Ehub! cos mr chan wanna watch Friday the 13th. but in the end, no more show. he very upset. haha. small boy.


3rd April

went Changi hotel for the Saltwater cafe lunch buffet

treat by cousin and her husband :0)

food very limited..

i still prefer the Pan Pacific one!!!

Ting ting!!! i wanna go again! (haha)

btw, i signed up for Salsa classes too, at tampines CC.

Now looking for malay language class.

Argh!
